Season’s greetings from Tamarind Translations!

Another year is almost over. Thank you for choosing Tamarind Translations Ltd for your translation and conference interpretation requirements this year. We are happy of all our achievements during the year as we remain Nairobi’s professional language agency, often called upon to provide services across the region. Here are some interesting projects that we carried out recently:

·           December 2012, conference interpretation project of the year: GAVI Alliance (Geneva) Partners Forum, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This international event attended by over 1000 delegates from all over the world. Tamarind Translations was selected from a host of local and foreign language agencies to provide Russian/English/French/Spanish interpreters, drawn from our global network. One of the session was held at the State House where Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete was launching Decade of Vaccines project.   

In 2012, Tamarind Translations provided interpreters at over 25 international conferences for reputable clients such as the UNDP, UNWOMEN, GAVI (Geneva), Cardino (UK, Strathmore University, Café Direct (UK), WWF, UNOPS.

·           November 2012, translation project of the year: A US company required translation into 11 East African languages for legal and engineering documents.
We selected a team of technical translators, reviewers and terminologists and within seven days we were able to deliver the 7000 words translated into 11 languages including Giriama, Kamba, Luo, Kisii, Meru, Embu, Mbeere, Turkana, Gabra, Maasai …

·           September 2012, technical translation project of the year: A leading insurance institution operating across Africa required an efficient service for translation of its annual accounts booklet from English to French, only available in PDF. Using our text extraction software we converted the pdf file into editable text while maintaining the original formatting and delivered a quality translation of the 25,000 words into French.

In 2012, Tamarind Translations translated into over 40 languages, serving reputable organizations such as Google, National Council of Law Reports, UNDP, Metropolitan, Laikipia Wildlife, African Union, UNICEF, UNODC, RECSA, Transperfect (USA), STB Scandnavia, Semantix (Sweden), Embassy of Sweden, Office of the Prime Minister - CAMPS (Kenya), African Union-IBAR
